This spicy peanut sauce is from Benin. It can be enjoyed with meat, rice, potatoes or vegetables. It is a great choice for spicing up any meal.


Ingredients:


· ½ large yellow onion

· ½ habanero pepper or more

· 1 beef bullion cube

· 2 tablespoon tomato paste

· ¾ tsp salt

· ¾ cup of water

· ½ cup creamy all-natural peanut butter.


Directions:


  1. Blend onion and habanero pepper together in a blender until smooth.

  2. In a frying pan on the stove use oil to fry the blended onion and pepper with salt and bullion cube for 5 minutes.

  3. Add peanut butter and water to the pan. Mix and combine.

  4. Reduce to simmer, cover, and cook for 15 minutes.

  5. Enjoy with some sweet roasted potatoes, rice or meat.
